Marx in Soho! 6/17 in Providence RI

The SP USA presents a performance of Howard Zinn's Marx in Soho performed by Jerry Levy on Friday June 17th in Providence RI. All are invited to attend a performance of "Marx in Soho" by SP USA member Jerry Levy on Friday June 17, 2005 in Providence Rhode Island.

Where: The event will be held at the St Peter's & St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Hall 25 Pomona Ave. Providence, RI
When: Friday June 17, 2005 Doors open at 5pm/ play starts at 6 pm.
How much: donations appreciated (suggested $5) but no one turned away

Join the Tom Mooney Local of the Socialist Party for a discussion on the role of workers in building a new society based on cooperation and equality. Our discussion will be based on an article by Michael D. Yates, “Can Workers Change the World?” which appeared in Monthly Review, March 2004.

Michael D. Yates is associate editor of Monthly Review. He was for many years professor of economics at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He is author of Longer Hours, Fewer Jobs: Employment and Unemployment in the United States (1994), Why Unions Matter (1998), and Naming the System: Inequality and Work in the Global System (2004), all published by Monthly Review Press.
